- add three text-layers: “The” “ULTIMATE” “Source”.
- Take a very bold font, that gives us a better look.
- “The” and “Source” should have a size of 35, “ULTIMATE” has a size of 55px.
- Move the 3 text-layers together (as seen on the picture below).

Merge these 3 layers. To do this select (in the layers-dialog) the text-layer thats on top of all the text-layers. Right-mouse-click and choose “Merge Down”. Repeat once.

Now the whole text should be on a single layer.
Move the Text to the very center of the picture. To do this you can either use the Alignement-Tool or just use guides. Go to Image / Guides / New Guide: Choose horizontal: 450px - then click OK, same again with a vertical guide. Move the text-layers “M” (from the “ultiMate”) to the point where the guides are crossing.

Go to View / Show guides (Deselect).

Now go to Layer / Layer to Image Size. Duplicate this layer. Now merge the layer thats above the Background-layer down with the Background-layer.

Name that text-layer “Source” and the Background-layer “Strahlen” (which is the german word for “rays”).

Click the Eye-Icon for the “Source”-layer in the layers-dialog to make it invisible. After this long step your layers should look like this:

- Go to Filter / Distorts / Polar coordinates and take the values from the picture below.

Go to Image / Transform / Rotate 90° clockwise

Go to Filter / Distorts / Wind and choose the options from the picture below.

Repeat the filter once but now choose “Left” as direction, the other options remain unchanged.

Go to Image / Transform / Rotate 90° counter-clockwise. After that apply the polar-coordinates filter again. Click the “To Polar”-option. The text should look like this now.

Choose the Rectangle-Select-Tool and draw a selection around the rays.

- Select / Invert.
- Choose black as FG-color.
- After that: Edit / Fill FG-color.
- Select / None.

The rays look pretty bad… To change this go to Filter / Blur / Motion Blur and choose the values from the image below:

Click the Source-layer in the layers-dialog and choose “Alpha to Selection”. Create a new layer, name it “Glühen” (german word for glow). Activate the created layer.

- Select / Grow: 2px
- Fill the selection with white.
- Press CTRL+SHIFT+A to deactivate the selection
- Filter / Blur / Gaussian: 10px
- Choose “Screen” as layermode (you can find the layer modes dropdown-menu in the layers-dialog above the transparency-control.

- Move this layer between “Source” and “Strahlen”, in case it is not already there.
- Click the Eye-Icon of the “Source”-layer to make it visible. Go to Colors / Invert. (in Gimp 2.2 this option is under Layer / Colors / Invert).

Choose the “Strahlen”-layer and go to (Layer /) Colors / Color Balance

For a blue shine take these values:

Midtones: -70 | -35 | +30
Highlights:-85 | -25 | -50

For a gold shine:

Shadows 100 | +50 | -50
Midtones: +70 | -30 | -100
Highlights: +20 | 0 | -50

Tip: If you want your rays to shine even more, duplicate the “strahlen”-layer, blur it with gaussian blur and set the layers mode to “Screen”.

" My Plan After I graduate"

In my mind their is every such thing i would do if i’m the one of the  graduating class 2009-2010, take Bachelor of  Computer Science Ladderized. I want to apply in manila as a call center agent . If  i have earn a lot of money., I would like to build a house for my family. I. therefore, should continue to work with a purpose and with meaning for everything. I will be judged by God. If we are to succed, we must sincerely ask for his guidance because with Him all things are possible.

I have planned also that I would proceed 4 yrs. course of computer science if my parent can afford me. My wish that Ma’am Lerrry will aprove me to be a working student here in Hercor College, I will strive it But .Truly , GOd will help me  and blessed me in the path of my life .

In the end, I would like to Cogratulates all my classmates, Friends. And Ofcourse i WOULD LIKE to say Thanks a lot for my beloved instructors, who did their best to teach us , with patients upon us. MAY GOD BLESS US ALL.

  Hi.. My name is Remilyn C. Llena. I live in Dinginan Ilawod, Roxas City. 21 yrs. old, I’m the eldest child of a construction worker and a laundry woman. My fathers name is Mr. Ricardo Llena Sr. and  Mrs. Myrna Llena. A person having integrity, enthusiastic and awesome women. I learn to be a responsible to my brothers and sisters, I want to be a good example for them. MYy ambition in life is to finish my choosen career,be a servant of our lord Jesus Christ, TO have a nice and happy Christian Family.

To  strive things even if it is hard you must face and prove it you can carry this kind of trials. My classmates , friends call me Remz.I describe myself as a humble  person and a loving to my fellow students. Still finding a True Love that can make me Happy and of course inspiration in life. But I have so many experience about Love I learn to cry, hatred, and depend that kind of guy , he really loves me but I did not see the effort and you would not appreciate him in action. In fact this heartache I’ve encounter this will the things that can make me strong. I found out that Give up when the  love isn’t enough and move on to the other , for sure their is someone out their who really loves You. Thank you So Much to all my friends for advicing me.

" CAN’T HELP FALLING IN LOVE"

 A.   As i watch this kind of love story i fell the warmest love they got together. You may becoming an expert in “not -real-love” or “it’s -all about -me love, “ which is not relly outside appearance or social standing . But if you look to the best love there is the love .God has for us, you will find that God loves you right now, just as you are. In fact,he loves you so much hes not willing to let you stay the way you are. He wants to help you become an even better you.

B. I’ve encounter a mix of thoughs about love. Focus on LOve being an action Love is not just a feeling , it is not something that changes with emotions. I saw love has to do with commitment not just feelings. This is great to “know” but love has to be lived out  to be real. So let your thoughts turn into actions. Remember, most  people aren’t used to recieving unconditional love. But even the most skeptical are often won over in time, so Don’t Give Up !!!

It is true then what they say about the destiny of people who are at the bottom.

They have nowwhere else to go but to keep up, And if natural circumstances do not conspire them to do this,

Determination will push them higher, perhaps even further than what they aim. The story I’ am about to share to all of you,

Tells the triumphat tale of a strong-willed woman who was able to uplift herself from poverty striken life ,They have to the

satisfactory of being a principal. Ma’am dela Cruz was born on December 24,1949 at panay capiz. She was the eldest child of a

 local  fishermen and a housewife. Ma’am dela Cruz smiled as she remembers that all through her life. And she remembers

well, those times when they used to walk almost a kilometer away in going to school. Ma’am dela Cruz finish her Elementary

Education with fliying colors in 1961.Being a class Salutatorian,her life was shed with light for a promise future. She then had her

 high school education at the Capiz Nat’l High School. As the first batch to graduate of the said school, Ma’am dela Cruz recieved

her high school diploma in 1965, She was the first honorable mention of the class– that made her to  decide,to push for college.

She wanted to be a teacher an ambition ,shas had ever since she was very small. Being the eldest, Ma’am dela Cruz believed

that she would be the help needed by her own family.Right after she graduated she applied a teaching profession at the

government which after several months was granted to her .Truly God must have acknowlege her sufferings, and sacrifices that

he gave her another gift. Ma’am dela Cruz was made into principal she was teaching.Shes life was an inspiration for all of us.
